Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Nikki and Emily, two young women with more life experience than we ever planned to have by age 25. We're here to talk about it and can’t wait for you to join us on this wild ride, so buckle up!
Hi, I'm Nikki. And I'm Emily. And welcome to That 6-Letter Word, the podcast. We are two twenty-something women who happened to have met in college, have become best friends, and have lived together through our wildest years. But since college, and before turning 25, we've both had the unfortunate experience of being looked in the eye by a doctor and told that 6-letter word that no one wants to hear: cancer.
Although we have cancer in common, our experiences have been vastly different, while sharing some similarities. The more stories we shared with each other, the more we realized that we should record them, and share them with other people. Our goal is not for this to be a cancer podcast, but rather a life podcast for those with messy, challenging, and sometimes devastating circumstances.
And even though we touch on some serious topics, we're both in our mid-twenties and enjoying all that life has to offer. And we're so excited to share the good, the bad, the ugly, and also the funny with you.
